About Lesson

There is no absolute number that can absolutely guarantee that you will get the admission or the scholarship. There are many factors that need to be considered to answer this, some of the factors can be:

  •  The field that you are applying in. Different fields have different historical averages or expectations
  • The scores of verbal section and quantitative section may hold different value depending upon your area or field
  • Some fields may put more emphasis on your quantitative score rather than the overall score, while some may put more emphasis on the verbal score
  • The school you are applying for can be a factor. Every school has a different average for the GRE score. However, there is no hard and fast rule that you can NEVER get the admission if your score is below that average

Keep in mind that the selection depends on your OVERALL application, not your GRE score.
